The Seminary of Saint Albert the Great, with the celebration of the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul on Monday, 25th of January 2021, had her pioneer candidates, now in their second year of study in Sacred Theology solemnly admitted as Candidates for Sacred Orders. This Rite was officially administered by Most Rev. Peter Odetoyinbo, Bishop of Abeokuta Diocese, who presided at the Holy Mass.

The bishop at the Homily, admonished and encouraged the candidates to be more conscious of the reality of their vocation, and that formation “is a process of self-emptying in order to be filled with Christ”. The candidates as well expressed their readiness to submit themselves to diligently prepare for Sacrament of Holy Orders.

The event also witnessed the celebration of the 50th birthday of Rev. Fr. Christopher Ojeaga. The Bishop expressed his gratitude to God for His faithfulness and Love over the life of Rev. Fr. Christophe Ojeaga, and congratulated him on the occasion of his birthday.

The Bishop on a final note appreciated the Rector and the entire Formation Team for their unrelenting efforts in building the future church in the lives of the young minds placed under their care.
