GROW IN ALL AREAS OF FORMATION! FR. JOHN HEZEKIAH TELLS SAGS SEMINARIANS - Fr. John Hezekiah

The Vocations Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, led by the Assistant Vocations Director of the Diocese, Rev Fr. John Hezekiah, paid a courtesy visit to the Seminary with food items on Saturday 5thOctober, 2019. The Registrar of the Seminary, Rev Fr. Emmanuel Lewis, in his welcome address, noted the efforts of the commission and commended the support they provide every year. He commended the team to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Giving his address on behalf of the Commission, Rev Fr. John Hezekiah thanked God for the opportunity to express their support for the training of future priests. Speaking further, he thanked the formators for the beautiful work they are doing, and admonished the seminarians saying, “Dispose yourself to the tenets of the formation and protect the dignity of the church, the diocese that sent you here, and your individual families”. Following his address, some members of the team took turns to admonish the Seminarians particularly in the aspects of good behaviour, perseverance, humility and obedience.

The Senior Prefect, Mr Michael Imadonwinyin, on behalf of the Seminary community, expressed gratitude to the team, noting that whoever gives a prophet a cup of water shall surely receive his blessing. Above all, the Rector of the Seminary, Very Rev. Fr. Anselm Ekhelar in his closing remarks, expressed gratitude to the Vocations Commission for their efforteach year, in support of the training of future ministers of the word and sacraments.
