SAGS FAMILY CELEBRATES HER MAIDEN FAMILY WEEK

The Seminary of St. Albert the Great reached another landmark by celebrating her maiden Family Week. The Family comprises of the Formators, members of staff, Friends of the Seminary St. Albert the Great Major Seminary, Seminarians and other individuals who have the interest of our Seminary at heart. The celebration was packed with different, but exciting activities. It was declared open by the Rector of the Seminary during the Holy Mass, on Sunday 12th November, 2023. In his words of declaration, he echoed the importance of living as a family of God’s people, who share common interests and are rooted in the body of Christ, the Church. The Family Week celebration featured different activities such as film show, Sags Press Club heroic presentation, Football Competition in honor of late Augustine Ogbomanah and Lawrence Sanwo, Sags Feast Day and the 60th Birthday Celebrations of Rev. Fr. Gabriel Anekwe, the Spiritual Director I. A symposium was held with a paper presentation titled: “The Family Life Today”, which was delivered by Mrs. Mary Falade and Mrs. Gloria Eneh. Friday of the weeklong celebration was observed as cultural day by the members of the Seminary community. This featured cultural presentations from three different Liturgico-Cultural Groups namely: Yoruba (YOLIG), Warri (WADS) and Benin (SABEC). The celebration was concluded with a thanksgiving Mass on Sunday 19th November, 2023.
