APPOINTMENT OF NEW OFFICERS: RECTOR, VICE RECTOR AND REGISTRAR

St. Albert the Great Major Seminary witnessed the recent appointments of a new Rector, Vice Rector, and Registrar. Very Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Adebayo Lewis from the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, was announced on January 25, 2024, as the new Rector of the Seminary. With him comes a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to advancing the Seminary's mission and vision. Prior to his appointment, he functioned as the Registrar of the Seminary and worked closely with his predecessor, Very Rev. Fr. Anselm Ekhelar. Similarly, on March 21, 2024, Very Rev. Fr. Peter Egbe from the Catholic Diocese of Uromi was appointed as the Vice Rector, being the very first in the history of the Seminary. He has a proven track record of excellence and will play a pivotal role in supporting the Rector and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the Seminary. Lastly, on May 1, 2024, Rev. Fr. Francis Mekako from the Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku was appointed as the new Registrar. He brings a high level of expertise in academic administration and a commitment to ensuring the efficient operation of our Seminary's academic programmes.
