VOCATIONS COMMISSION OF ABEOKUTA DIOCESE VISITS SAGS

REPORTED BY: Mathew Olugbenga, KOLAJO.

The Vocations Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta visited St. Albert the Great Major Seminary on October 5, 2024, with gifts of food items. The group which was led by Rev. Fr. John Hezekiah, Assistant Vocations Director of the Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta and Parish Priest of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Magboro, demonstrated their commitment to supporting the well-being of future priests, both spiritually and materially.

Fr. Hezekiah emphasized the importance of human formation, urging seminarians to prioritize this aspect. He said, we must learn to be good humans, and then other forms of formation will follow. The Commission members who visited, numbering 20 persons, encouraged seminarians to remain open to formation, cautioning against the temptation of pride.

The Rector, Very Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Adebayo Lewis and the Senior Prefect, Mr Ajayi Peter, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Commission for their annual kindness and support.
