The Seminary Community, together with her Friends (FOSAGS), gathered on Wednesday 15th November, 2023, to celebrate their Patron Saint, St. Albert the Great. In his remark, which he gave in the name of the Bishops of the three Ecclesiastical Provinces, the Catholic Bishop of Abeokuta, Most Rev. Peter Odetoyinbo, who was also the Chief Celebrant at the Holy Mass, made it clear to all present that, “It is not what one takes that makes one a saint, but what one gives”. The Bishop commended the Formation Team, Staff, Seminarians and FOSAGS Members for maintaining a mutual understanding and sustaining the friendship among them. He sincerely expressed his sentiment of gratitude most especially to all the FOSAGS members who left their various obligations for the celebration. The Bishop noted that the Friends of St. Albert Seminary have chosen to go on mission by assisting those who have been gifted with the gift of priestly vocation. He assured them that their reward will indeed be great in heaven. He used the opportunity to call on people of good will to continually support the Seminary to further enhance the formation of priests after the heart of Christ.
