On the 14th of May, 2019, the Seminary Community held her first art exhibition in style. The occasion was one that afforded Seminarians the opportunity to showcase their creative skills in art which included painting mosaics sculpture and drawing.
The emerging first among the six participants was Akonthe Stephen from the Archdiocese of Lagos, with an oil-colour painting of St. Albert the Great. Coming second was Oki Gerald from the Diocese of Warri, with a mosaic work of spent match sticks dedicated to the members of the kitchen staff for their selfless service to the Seminary. In the third position was Inobeme Maurice from the Archdiocese of Benin-City, with a pencil drawing of African youths swimming in a file to the shore after alighting off the shore from the ship that transported them, depicting the modern-day self-slavery illegal immigration of African youth in search of supposed greener pastures.
The occasion also featured an exploration of musical art with a presentation of an original song by Mr. Onyedika Stephen from Warri Diocese. It was indeed a spectacular event and it is expected and hoped that it gets bigger as time passes.
A team of formators in attendance which included Rev. Fr. Francis Fabidun, Rev. Fr. Paul Amenaghawon, and Rev Fr. Christopher Ojeaga, were in attendance.
